editIs Servo open source? What license does it use? There really needs to be more information on this project. If someone can point me at some references, I'll be happy to add information to the page, but I'm having a hard time finding much about the project, and the GitHub repository doesn't seem to include such info. - Apotheon (talk) 20:09, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- It is open source, but I don't know what licence it uses. CWC 15:52, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- A LICENSE file was checked into the repository recently, it's MPL 2. --asqueella (talk) 21:34, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
More sources
editAfter reading this, I did a google search about Servo and found some useful sources from last December:
- Firefox’s new “Servo” rendering engine was purpose-built for multiple cores
- Mozilla Is Working on a Multi Process Replacement for Firefox's Gecko, Servo
I probably won't have time to edit the article myself, sorry. CWC 15:52, 19 February 2013 (UT

editOrigin of the name
editI don't think it belongs in the main article at this point, but Brendan mentioned that the inspiration for the name comes from Mystery Science Theater 3000: "MST3K lives on in our hearts, and will provide further names" [3] --asqueella (talk) 21:34, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Logo - source needed
editIs there any proof it's an actual logo?
- it's not used anymore - nor on GH, nor on official webpage
- when it was, it wasn't described as logo
- I highly doubt it's GPL picture owned by Mozilla, but that's just assumption — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.71.222.65 (talk) 01:38, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
