A comedian's 'set'
editComedians (and musicians, too, perhaps somewhat differently) use 'set' to mean their time on stage, don't they? Perhaps only comedians know exactly what's meant by this, but it's definitely another use. Perhaps they both fall under 'performing arts'? Any performing artist wikipedians out there wanna help clarify this?--Tyranny Sue (talk) 06:39, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Note
editI changed the definition of set (mathematics) to be consistent with the page it pointed to mentioning uniqueness as a criterion for set members. Ckelloug (talk) 20:36, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
Note 2014
editI believe the section
Mathematics and programming
should be changed to
Mathematics and Computer programming.

A good article, but lacking on history of the concept, modern interpretations. Naive set theory seems to overlap quite a bit. CMummert - 5 Oct 2006 |
