I'm pretty sure Seven nations did not originate in Orlando. I know their current drummer is from Orlando, but I think most of the original members come out of Canada. I don't remember where exactly. I'll double check this and verify later.

The band members are from all over, but the band formed in NYC, as I have corrected in the article. LaMenta3 01:08, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Only Scott Long and Dan Stacey are Canadian. Jim Struble, Kirk McLeod, and Neil Anderson are from the Southeast (I think Struble is from Florida and Anderson is from South Carolina). I don't know about the drummer.

Struby and McLeod went to high school in Orange Park, Florida, which is just south of Jacksonville. I learned this from talking to them after a show (so it's undocumented and I won't post it on the main page).

Significance

edit

Seven Nations was IMHO the most influential band on the Celtic Rock/festival circuit, and the most commercially successful "bagpipe rock" band, in the late '90s through 2003 or so. I think the article would be improved by a reference to this fact, but at the moment I'm not aware of any third-party confirmation. FixerMX 21:52, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
