Seventh Air Force in WWII
editThe portion of the article (wiki) on the Seventh Air Force in World War II fails to clarify that when the 11th Bomb Group returned to the Central Pacific, it again became a part of the Seventh Air Force and together with the 30th Bomb Group engaged in operations in the Central Pacific . The wiki also completely fails to mention the 494th Bomb Group, which flew B24 liberators and was a part of the Seventh Air Force. The 494th operated from Anguar in the Palau islands and later from Okinawa. This group's B-24s were the first B-24s to bomb the Japanese home islands. The wiki is also missing the most important reference source for the 7th Air Force-the official history of the Seventh Air Force, a 1946 book called One Damned Island After Another: The Saga of the Seventh Air Force in World War II by Clive Howard .

Bing Crosby song
editBing Crosby sang about the 7th Air Force: [1]. It might deserve a mention on the page, but I don't see where now. DougHill (talk) 23:54, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
