DMY dates and non-US English
editJust because this article inconsistently uses date formats says nothing about the variety of English spelling it should use.
Although this article was started on 15 May 2004, it was not until 2 November 2016 that the first edit that introduced a varietal English spelling in the non-stub version of this article occurred. Then the non-US English flavour of Centre (rather than Center as in US English) was used.
Since this article is not on a topic that has strong ties to a particular English-speaking nation,
(the Commonwealth military occupation after they booted out the Italians was very ephemeral)
we should now consistently use the variety found in the first post-stub revision that introduced an identifiable variety.
Consequently, I shall now place the appropriate Varieties of English template on this page. BushelCandle (talk) 06:11, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
