I removed the following sentence:

In Arabic sha‘b‘azz translates to "a people mighty and glorious".

because it is false. Arabic šaʻb ʻazz is a complete sentence meaning "A people is mighty and glorious." "A mighty and glorious people" would be šaʻb ʻazīz. Rizome 03:17, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Someone added:

shabazz was also a contestant on the seventh series of reality tv programme Bg Brother. He was the first housemate to exit the house.

I'm not sure what to do with this, or whether it belongs in this article. It refers to Shahbaz Chauhdry of Big Brother UK, series 7. I've taken it out for now. Rizome 02:47, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Request for Help with Arabic

edit

There seems to be a problem with the Arabic text on this page. (I don't think it's my browser, because other pages with Arabic text, such as Arabic and Malik, display without any problem.)

Could somebody who knows Arabic fix it? Malik Shabazz 22:12, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

List of names moved to name page

edit

@LissanX: Why did you revert the changes to the Shabbaz dab page and the Shabbaz (name) page? It is convention to include lists of people with a shared surname on a name page instead of a dab page. See WP:NAMELIST. Also Tribe of Shabbaz is not a person so you reverted a poorly worded description. Why did you comment "That has nothing to do with the content on this page" mean? What are you referring to? Coastside (talk) 03:23, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand the reversions either. Your actions seem to be the ones supported by the disambiguation guideline. Glades12 (talk) 17:00, 14 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Revert undone, to a version which conforms guidelines. Staszek Lem (talk) 18:20, 14 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
I endorse Staszek Lem's reversion. Not only does it comply with NAMELIST, it removes a totally unnecessary duplication of content on the DAB and name pages. Narky Blert (talk) 10:27, 15 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
