editI removed this section. I think we should only link to recognized authorities about shaktipat. Which begs the question, who recognizes those authorities? TheRingess 23:06, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Modern accounts of the descent of grace
editWe need to extract the relevant information from a few very high profile examples of the descent of grace:
- Muktananda
- Nisargadatta Maharaj
- Bernadette Roberts
- Paramahamsa Yogananda
- Shaktipatacharya Priyananda Maharaj (is still giving shaktipat diksha in Wardha, Maharashtra,India)

Osho quote
editI'm all for compact quoting, but to avoid Chinese whispers I think de-quoting or some degree of square bracket notation to indicate omitted or changed words may be in order here. (I may not be the best person to do it as I don't have the original text to compare it with.) K2709 (talk) 09:54, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
I did find this article to be helpful. I think it is worth keeping. There may be more lengthier resources on this topic, but maybe somebody will come along and expand this article at a later time.Wunhand (talk) 08:37, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Issues
editIf anyone wants to take time to improve this article, here are tips:
- WP:LEAD is a summary of the article, when currently a lot of information is there that's not in the body.
- The lead makes extraordinary claims in Wikipedia's voice like undisputed facts, instead of describing it as a belief-based practice.
