Alternate Pronunciation
edit@LewisChu: added the following sentence: "Alternative pronunciation whilst retaining spelling: (IPA: ʃamʔaːldiːn) "Sham(s)aldin" where the 's' is silent.". What language is this alternative pronunciation in? Is it a vernacular variety of Arabic? Also, can anyone provide a source? I'm gonna delete the sentence for now because it's vague and unsourced.
