editwhy was my edit removed? Is this a shaw propaganda anti-truth page? Middle More Rider (talk) 03:08, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
I'm sure this is a group of well meaning (salaried) people, but it would be interesting to know where they get their funding, and how much! Shaw Trust now seem to be working with the government, to get disabled people back into employment, closely links to Job Centres.
Though this is a great goal, for those who want employment, with 2,000,000 people currently unemployed, and migrant workers everywhere in the economy, surely this is a politicized operation dressed up as charity. I hope I'm wrong.
Their web site seems more of a corporate entity than a charity, looking to help people. http://www.shaw-trust.org.uk/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.121.186.28 (talk) 08:58, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
- Whatever the status was back in 2008, it seems like a respected charity doing helpful work in "providing employment and training opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged people". I have searched for evidence of criticism in reliable sources, but haven't found any. It would be reasonable to add such material to the page should it exist. Why is this page being censored?
editThis is a talk page, not the article, a talk page is for talking, yet it is being censored, the guilty party offensively called it venting, saying this is not the place for venting, maybe it being a TALK page it IS the place for venting, maybe it isn't? It wasn't anyway. I am a victim of the situation - that people are forced by the Jobcentre to go on the Shaw programme with threats of stopping their money if they don't. THIS IS 100% SOLID FACT, whether I like it or not, I certainly wish it wasn't. The threats are also there at the Shaw location, 100% SOLID FACT, the hostile attitude is there, 100% SOLID FACT. Why would anyone think it would not be like that when they, Shaw, are contracted by the benefits system??? If the guilty person is not biased Shaw staff, then I hope they get to experiece what I have, on their beloved Shaw programme some day.
Wikipedia is not the place to supress the truth.

Shaw Trust is a charitable organisation in the UK supporting people with complex needs[1] into good work. It was founded in the village of Shaw in Wiltshire in 1982[2].
Shaw Trust surpluses are reinvested through their charitable Shaw Trust Foundation[3] into programmes to level-up prospects for individuals and communities.
In 2017 Shaw Trust acquired Ixion[4] and Prospects making it the 14th largest charity in the UK[5]. It has 3,000 employees supported by 850 volunteers and delivers contracts for major funding agencies including the [Social Fund], [Department for Work and Pensions], [Lottery Fund], [Skills Funding Agency], [for Education], [of Justice] and local government and employers.
