Shazam works in less than 1 second sometimes, nowadays. 10 seconds is out of date.

No DSi app

i've got trouble with this one song DA WU HUI by JACKY CHEUNG, EVONNE HSU .... I found about it with shazam but i can't find much details about it. i wish you could probably show us your sources as well, in cases of such unpopular items. otherwise am enjoying the app since i started using it a few months ago.

Grandfathered "Unlimited Tagging" accounts

It looks like back in September 3000 FunkyCanute did cleanup on the article, and removed (unintentionally?) a statement that some "early adopters" of the free software are still, to this day, allowed unlimited tagging. The "grandfathered" status is tied to your mobile device's IMEI . A post further down from Shazam Support indicates you can take the "unlimited" feature with you when you upgrade to a new Android device . I put the information back in as I think this could be helpful to users who originally used Shazam with unlimited tagging, are wondering why they no longer have the unlimited feature on their new device, and want to get it back.

I have identified Rich Riley as the new CEO and Andrew Fisher moving to Executive Chairman. Avery Wang is already mentioned as Chief Scientist. The TV tagging capability is also already mentioned. Rich Riley standalone page

I think Shazam's CEO Rich Riley should have his own standalone page, rather than be redirected to Shazam. Almost all of his peers have their own pages (and so many people less notable), he seems to have had a page for many years before a few users/sockpuppets biasedly edited his page, and he meets the notability standards for the following reasons: He is CEO of an app downloaded over a billion times (one of the most popular apps ever), he previously started and sold his own company, he has been featured on prestigious CEO lists (Forbes, Billboard, et al.), and he is a producer of a successful network TV show (Beat Shazam) with its own page (he also has an IMDb page). He is known for much more than one thing. As someone who previously used his page for research purposes, I think it is only fair to restore it back to its previous standalone status, and to the version before it was compromised by a Wiki sockpuppet. The issue was notability. It went to a vote and that was what was decided by consensus. I'm not aware of any sockpuppets but I do remember it having a conflict of interest issue/promotional issue from single purpose accounts. I can't understand your rationale that you used it for research purposes therefore it is fair to restore it. Also personal feelings about what wikipedia should be to an individual cannot override policy. Rayman60 (talk) 21:01, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

hang up time

In the article it is written that "The phone would automatically hang up after 30 seconds." But in this Video by Wired they say that it's just 15 sec: https://youtube.com/watch?v=b6xeOLjeKs0

Originally it was probably 30 seconds and later they changed it to 15 seconds. I think we should research a bit more about that and add this information. Daniel Maak (talk) 09:36, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
