Major pruning
editThis article needs major pruning. This article is about a court case, yet much of the content is associated rumour, speculation, and innuendo that doesn't belong here. Alan Pascoe 17:03, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think everything is sourced, but it still represents absurd weight--the individual legal steps day by day as reported by newspapers shouldn't concern us. In any event, this is ongoing news & will be easier to summarize once they finish, which looks like it will take another 8 to 12 months. DGG 03:06, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
appeal etc?
editSo what happened? Did the News of the World definitively drop the appeal? This should be noted. As for allegations only made in one obviously biased newspaper, this is not serious.Johncmullen1960 (talk) 04:50, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- No, as the article stated, the News of the World's appeal is suspended while the criminal case is dealt with. As for the allegations of intimidation, bribery etc., I take the point that nothing definite has happended about these allegations some time after they were made, but as a lot of legal wheels are still turning they cannot be ruled out, and they did appear in more than one paper. PatGallacher (talk) 10:03, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
This one will run and run. The article may well be expanded substantially as the criminal trial starts. Do we want a separate article, HM Advocate v. Sheridan and Sheridan? Do we want to split this, and if so how? PatGallacher (talk) 21:17, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
There is a report on the grapevine that the start of the trial is now October 4th. Anyone know anything definite? PatGallacher (talk) 10:52, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Split article?
editNow that the criminal trial has started do we want to give it its own article? Or should we keep it together? PatGallacher (talk) 17:45, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
I suggest we seperate them, this is a trial in its own right¬¬ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.156.62.95 (talk) 18:35, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
