This is really too short a stub for Rosen. His piece on hedonic pricing was in the top five of most cited articles in economics and he had some really influential ideas on tournament theory and corporate ladders as well as some later work on long cycles in economics (presented at a festschrift for Gary Becker in 1995). Can we structure somehow a better tribute to this thinker and leave out some of the personal details of his life that have really nothing to do with his contribution?
