Oregon Geographic Names doesn't mention Shipley, just Shipley Bridge and Shipley Creek. Unless you can find another source, I would hesitate to call it a defunct city, since it seems the place never merited a post office. Katr6704:52, 3 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ya, I wasn't sure what to call it. It's on the maps, Portland State has it in there geographic names database, but people live there and looking at the map it looks like it is part of Sheridan. Maybe unicorporated community? Aboutmovies05:24, 3 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
