editIs this entry really necessary? This is more like an urbandictionary definition. 72.198.192.125 16:53, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- No kidding! Let me tell you how I got here. I had sort-of imagined the term "butthurt", and I Googled it to see if it was already in use. Well, after the results from places like urbandictionary and Encyclopedia Dramatica, I found there was a page for it on Wiktionary! I was surprised; I hadn't realized slang was on there at all, much less recently-created slang (I'm sure "butthurt" was not in common usage as early as the 1980s, and I suspect it was mostly unheard of in the pre-Internet era.) Not that I object to that, but I just hadn't realized. I thought it might be a case of a lone smartass creating a page for his favorite vulgarism, agaist policy. So I tried looking up a more-common vulgar slang term, "shithead", and sure enough, there was an entry -- and a little notice saying "Wikipedia has an article on shithead."
- Anyway, I think it's stupid and unnecessary.

A racial slur?!?
editShithead -- a racial slur for brown people because of their skin color.
Really? This is news to me. And it's not on Wikipedias list of ethnic slurs. I wonder if, in fact, it was added by someone with racist intent -- that is, to perpetuate a new (and especially loathsome) term.

I erased the bullshit, no need to discuss it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.105.94.203 (talk) 15:32, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Only Wikipedia idiots and minions of Jimmy would even acknowledge this crap! God the human race has become worthless; should be exterminated! 02:55, 1 August 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.174.95.196 (talk)
A really helpful subsection would be
editto mention that it's actually a relatively common first name in other parts of the world, pronounced sh'theed or shi-tee-ad, but often spelled just as in this entry. The name is actually increasing in frequency in USA. Drsruli (talk) 18:37, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
