Your shitting me... this is really the name?
This is the name, and I expected to see a speedy deletion tag when I clicked in here, thinking it was vandalism. --♠ ЃɥΔ₪ ♠ (Ryan) 09:46, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
WikiProject Dorset reassessment
editI've changed the importance rating of this article within the Dorset WikiProject, down from 'Mid' to 'Low', as I think this is more applicable - after all it is only a neighbourhood of a village, with a somewhat unusual name. PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 22:35, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
failed censorship
editGoogle Maps will, on request, blur out selected parts of the Street View if somebody raises a complaint or has privacy concerns. Apparently somebody persuaded Google Maps to blur the word Shitterton on the block of stone at the junction on West St, Bere Regis. What is amusing is that the word has not been blurred out, but part of a nearby road sign - when viewed from the Shitterton road, not West St - has the words "Unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles" blurred out. If it was anywhere else I'd think it was a simple mistake, but as the sign is so close to the Shitterton stone I'd like to think it was a deliberate "slip" to reject meaningless censorship.
