After being warned, contentious topics procedure can be used against any editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process. Contentious topic sanctions can include blocks, topic-bans, or other restrictions.
Editors may report violations of these restrictions to the Arbitration enforcement noticeboard.

At the very least I would expect a discussion which compares and contrasts "shooting and crying" to similar statements by soldiers across the world and throughout history. Instead this article implies that is systemic dishonesty, that Israeli service members not only express disingenuous emotion but may lack feeling entirely. In reality, the idea of the soldier who follows orders and experiences later regret is as old as warfare itself. Why then does this ubiquitous human experience get a special label in this context? And without a single link to the phenomenon of feeling regret for following orders. Is there a term for this which applies specifically to soldiers, by the way? Regardless, this so uniquely Israeli tactic, as the author would have you believe, should be split into actual testimony and depiction in media, both then merged to larger articles about the Israeli-Palestine Conflict and Israeli media.

Removal of irrelevant links in "see also"

the "see also" tab in the most recent revision includes things like "crocodile tears", "oscar bait", "misery porn" which to me seem like the personal opinion of the wikipedian on the IDF/Israel/The topic as opposed to actually relevant, with the revision at, for example, 08:34, 22 January 2022‎ being much better and more relevant to the actual topic ElazarLevy (talk) 06:21, 23 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I removed Oscar bait as being irrelevant.

Crocodile tears seems to belong and I wasn't sure about misery porn so I left it.

Pappé quotation

Not sure if this is due for inclusion in the article but Ilan Pappé writes in The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine that "Crying aloud while killing and expelling innocent people was one tactic for dealing with the moral implications of Plan D."
