In response to the person who asked me if I have sources for what I said, to be honest no. I don't know what sources you want, but there is no published piece of paper that tells you the current choice of music for this radio station. I'm just telling you it's true. I hear them on the radio every day, last night Matty and Renee from The Hit List had them live in an interview on their show. I'm glad the result was keep. PN57 00:23, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
I take it back, after watching their live performance on Channel V I wouldn't care if this article didn't exist. PN57 02:41, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Veronicas

Does anyone else think there should be a section on the members personal lives, especially Andy and Shaun's links to Jess and Lisa from the Veronicas respectivly? Because i have seen a lot of articles going around, especially about Lisa and Shaun, such as Origliassio has new lover, Lisa Origliassio dating new man and Myspcae, Veronicas give Short Stack a rise —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluebubble17 (talk • contribs) 09:46, 30 March 2009 (UTC) Not done. Indie??

Give me a break. There is nothing indie about this band as far as genre. I'd remove it myself right now but I don't need this.--AresAndEnyo (talk) 19:13, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Andrew 'andy' Clemmensen
editThis edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
For one i think we should stick to just one name, generally he is "Andy Clemmensen" and so tecnically on the band members list he should be put down by "Andrew". Whatever he's put down by i still think he shoudlnt be put down by "Andrew 'andy' clemmensen"
Also Why is there a 'refrences' header when there is no refrences?? I'm sure there would be at least one refrences as even by 'knowing' this information you must have read it/heard it somewere. I suggest linking their myspace would be ideal since thats were most of their news and information comes from. - Done. His name is Andy in the article. Also, there are now references. Rhain1999 (talk) 01:46, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
List of their songs
editThis edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
Don't you think that Short Stacks page should have, like, a list of all their songs that they have ever made? Just so fans could look them up and find out all their songs so that it would be easier to look up their songs on, like, youtube and stuff. Just thinking aloud here! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Short Stack rox (talk • contribs) 12:20, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- No. Wikipedia has policies and guidelines and what should be included. Sometimes, in situations of larger and much more popular bands, there is separate pages for Lists of Songs. However, Short Stack are nowhere near that and it would end up being a trivial list of unsourced fan jargon that has no place here. People should really just make a Blogspot, you'd find about the same readers that are interested in what what you'd be adding as you would here. kiac. (talk-contrib) 13:36, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Sweet December

New EP Sweet December released 11th December. The EP, a single and digital 45 released from the EP call all be found and bought on iTunes, unsure as how to go about creating pages/altering Short Stack template, advice on where to start? Shadowmaster13 (talk) 05:15, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
- Be bold! Give it a go. I'll clean up your tracks if need be :) The EP's Page can be created here: Sweet December. You might wish to look at the links on creating pages at the top of that page. Then I advise you use an existing page such as this as somewhat of a template, it will help to do things correctly like the infobox and formatting. Be sure to cite reliable sources! Google News is a good place to start, or their website for some things is okay. The template can be edited by clicking the E in the top left corner of it, I will fix it up for you now though. Any further questions, just ask here, or go to my talk page and ask, I'm happy to help. kiac. (talk-contrib) 13:07, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Since the semi-protect status expired at the end of January there have been many unhelpful edits, how would we go about getting the page protected again? Shadowmaster13 (talk) 07:12, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
- Go here: Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. There's instructions there on how to request and the criteria required, worth a try i reckon, its been quite bad. kiac. (talk-contrib) 12:06, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Edit request from Billhope, 18 April 2010
edit{{editsemiprotected}}
Please change --"Silhoette Effect also Played here"---In the "history" section, it says they played with Silhouette Effect at their first battle of bands in which they won, however i think the person who edited got this wrong as this band was just local.
Please replace it with --"Renowned Australian band, "Sons Of Alamo" played the local battle of the bands grandfinal and was defeated by Short Stack, making the boys local music legends."
Billhope (talk) 11:22, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
Not done for now: It does not say that they played with silhouette effect at the first battle of bands, but that they have played at the Erina Youth Centre. "Sons Of Alamo" may have played and/or won the local battle of the bands grandfinal, but their status as "local legends" cannot be verified.
History

I have removed the [citation needed] tag from the History section that says that they played at the Channel 7 studios and They believe this small Australian band has received more local support than many international artists that have visited the studio. I did this because I don't think you can cite live TV and this appears to be an abuse of the [citation needed] tag. If you disagree please let me know. SpencerCollins (talk) 09:55, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Fair point, but on the other hand we need some kind of proof that they performed on sunrise. Shadowmaster13 (talk) 11:07, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- There must be a youtube video of it out there. SpencerCollins (talk) 11:53, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Plagiarism deletion
editThis edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
The controversy about Andy Clemmensen's plagiarism belongs in either his stand alone bio (yet to be created) or more correctly- and the entire band were drawn in to it- this bio. It's deletion might please fans, management and band alike but it is relevant and passes truthiness etc. reinstate plz

Reasons for DB-band
editThis edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
I have nominated this article for speedy deletetion. Relatively new band with enjoying only relatively little popularity in one country only does not need an article like this. This page seems to be done by a publicity company or done by groupies. Even the talk page been astroturfed. The band/publicists seems to have spam'ed number of other sites including: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=short+stack#
In any case there are other bands from other locations with same name enjoying similar popularity as well as need for explaining the phrase "short stack".
At the very least this should be turned into a stub with a name Short Stack(Australian Band) or similar with a Short Stack disambig page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.148.124.237 (talk) 06:00, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
- The appropriate guidelines for notability are Wikipedia:Notability (music). This band meets more than one criteria, and is clearly notable. The nomination of the article for speedy deletion was therefore inappropriate. HairyWombat 18:51, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because its a good page— 144.132.125.185 (talk) 06:15, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
No disambiguation?
editThe term "short stack" also refers to a serving of 1 or 2 pancakes (as compared to a long stack of 3 or 4). Given there is no explanation of the derivation of the band's name, could this be it? --Mfwills (talk) 12:47, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
