Should this be merged into another article?
editI'm no expert on these matters, but this seems like a overly specific subject to have an entire article about. Wouldn't it be better to merge this into Line_and_length? Not that I am entirely convinced that Line and Length is deserving of its own article outside Bowling_(cricket) :/ Tasiel (talk) 00:09, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
Agreed with the above - there's perhaps an argument to have an article about "Length" as it relates to cricket. I think it begs the question somewhat that short of a length is short of the "optimal" length so I have changed this. "Optimal" is very much a from the batsman's perspective - a quick bowler will usually want to be either short of a good length (where the batsman is undecided wether to play forward or back) or full - ie yorker length. A good length is an invitation to the batsman to get on the front foot and drive. ElectricRay (talk) 16:15, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
