THINKING
editI was thinking that Shresthas are most in number among newars.Jojolpa (talk) 17:04, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Looks like a content fork based on marginal differentiation. At the very least, editors should decide what the scopes of each of the articles are. Usedtobecool ✉️ ✨ 17:09, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- ✉️ Shresthas here refer to the whole caste group of which the surname Shrestha is one of many. So a merger would not be appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nepalichoro255 (talk • contribs) 16:26, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
Non notable people listed
edit@Nepalichoro255: Why are you reverting me without any comment? I explained my edit in the edit summary, yet you reverted without any explanation. Vanjagenije (talk) 13:59, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
Please create separate pages for these people as some of these people are much more influential/important than some of those who have a page for themselves. I understand your logic in deleting their names off, but consider the actual reality as well. ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nepalichoro255 (talk • contribs) 07:54, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Nepalichoro255, the point of the list is to link to articles that readers may be interested in reading, not showcasing the best and the brightest of the group. There is no use adding people if they don't have an article no matter how notable. Tulsi Mehar Shrestha is listed at Jawaharlal Nehru Award because that's the criteria for inclusion there. Since we can't list all Shresthas, nor is being a Shrestha an achievement in itself, the only sensible thing to do is to add only those Shresthas which already have an article. Regards! - Tulsi Mehar Shrestha has an article now; you can add him. Usedtobecool ☎️ 09:43, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
Makes sense, thanks! Nepalichoro255 (talk) 06:56, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
