editWasn't Karl Hyde in Shriekback?
Untitled
editHere's a link from discogs, that points out he was a former member. This information may be added to the Shriekback, Underworld article as I currently see no mention of this in either one.
He was on the Sacred City album, but I don't believe he was ever a full-fledged member of the band.
Many Themes in TV series "Lost"?
editThe current article says "The lyrics of the song contain many images and ideas used in the TV series Lost." That sounds like pareidolia. I've heard "Nemesis" many times and just re-read its lyrics, and I don't think there's anything to this claim. Lippard (talk) 15:06, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. I removed it. -- Dominus (talk) 16:37, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Hand on My Heart charts
editI'm fully aware Hand on My Heart charted at number 54 here in the UK, didnt the "Lined Up" single come in at about 80-ish over here? I hope someone can tell me if this is right or not?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.31.129.185 (talk • contribs) 14:07, 3 October 2006
- Does that mean you have a source for your edit? -Harmil 20:08, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
It is included in the book "British HIT Singles & Albums", so i do not actualy have an internet source for it.
I have just been on website Polyhex.com and searched Shriekback in the UK Charts section and the following results came up...
19/03/1983 Shriekback Lined Up - 89, 13/08/1983 Shriekback Lined Up (Remix) - 78, 21/07/1984 Shriekback Hand On My Heart - 52, 01/06/1985 Shriekback Nemesis - 94, 21/09/1985 Shriekback Fish Below The Ice - 88
I have edited the Hand on my Heard entry from 54 to 52, could someone please add the rest??
Anachronism
editThe article indicates that Oil & Gold was released on Arista, but the page for Oil & Gold indicates that it was released on Island. Furthermore, the Jam Science page indicates that album was released on Y and Arista. Given that Oil & Gold was the high water mark (according to the Oil & Gold page) for Shriekback, I'm moving the sentence about Shriekback not finding success on Arista to before the mention of Oil & Gold. Page for Oil & Gold has been edited with ref from discogs.com to show that it was released on Arista in the UK and rest of Europe, and on Island in USA. User:Mungefuddler123 15 September 2015 —Preceding undated comment added 01:44, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
