Cleanup

edit

I replaced a lot of the citations with more reliable sources and made some copy edits. It probably needs more attention; specifically, the list of features is a bit lengthy (and possibly overly detailed), and I think it could probably be condensed down to just a few paragraphs without much trouble. However, since I didn't want to fully rewrite the page, I left much of the body as it was written. If I feel the urge, I'll come in and do some more cleanup, but I think it's much more presentable now. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:52, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

The Open Play mode makes it an MMORPG

edit

Based on the fact there is many players playing this game like an MMORPG. It features an open world, that players can go through, no (or very few) instanced areas and there is at least hundreds of players online at the same time. Also it has typical features such as guilds, auction houses, player housing, player shops that would render it an MMORPG. It however, unlike others also offers a single player and a "With friends" mode. I think this should be mentioned. I added some parts to the article. However I am not an expert on this topic, so maybe someone else would like to explain this in greater detail.--Athaba (talk) 11:53, 21 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Early Access Reception

edit

The early access reception has been extremely negative and I'm wondering if perhaps, we might create a new article section titled 'early access reception' then later make it a sub-section of Reception maybe, thoughts? Twobells (talk) 15:21, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

If it's sourced properly, sure. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:36, 28 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

edit

@Fifth Amendment: can you explain what parts read like an advertisement to you? It's difficult to clean them up if we don't know what to address. As far as I can tell, most of the article is a neutral description of the game's intended features. I did some work on the article in 2013 and 2014, but I haven't followed its development, so it's probably way out of date now. I don't think anyone has been updating the Wikipedia article. I find the general sense of the Gameplay section to be very speculative. A lot of "will" versus what the game already looks like in terms of in terms of early access or citations to more recent updates. The "neutral description of the game's intended features" comes off as advertisement since the game has not come out yet, and there are many "intended features" listed in the article. I don't think Wikipedia article should list out various promises and plans of games that haven't been fully released yet; I think advertisements of the game should be doing that. Yes, no one has updated this article, and there probably is very little point to do so until the game actually launches on the planned date of March 27, 2018. But if you still insist that the article does not come across as an advertisement, you or I can remove the tag. But the section definitely do need an update tag. Plot?

edit

The article does not have any information about the game’s overall plot or setting. Can that be added? -Thunderforge (talk) 05:56, 1 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
