History merge

On the 18th of November 2007, a cut and paste move was used to move the content of SIA to this title. Sia Furler/Sia (musician) should be placed at the top

Sia Furler, who is referred to simply as Sia (note the vagaries of the Wikipedia article title), should have a more prominent place at the top of this DAB page. There are only about four entries on this page called simply "Sia" and Furler is far and away the most important. Despite the Sia Furler title, she is not commonly known by her last name (cf. Sia discography) and burying the title in the list under that name impedes reader navigation. —  AjaxSmack  18:31, 3 September 2016 (UTC)

That's not how claims to being the primary topic are handled. If the musician is the primary topic, then her article is either at Sia, or redirects to the article, whatever its title, and the disambiguation page would be at Sia (disambiguation), which it isn't. There's no consensus on this page for placing her name at the top, so I've removed it. - BilCat (talk) 19:17, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Please note that at the most recent move discussion, the clear consensus was that there was no primary topic. I think I disagree with opinion, as a Google search overwhelmingly shows links to the musician, but that is the current consensus. However, even if she's not the primary topic, she can be listed in the first of the list, along with the other major contenders for primary topic, whatever they are. (See American for an example of how this is done.) It's not obvious to me what those contenders are, which is probably a clear indication that there is no other contender for primary topic.

My suggestion would be to hold a move discussion to move the DAB page to Sia (disambiguation), and to redirect this page to Sia Furler. A move discussion to move the article here could then be held. - BilCat (talk) 19:38, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
