Despite the French spelling of the city name as "Orléans", the siege is nearly always spelt as "Orleans" in English sources; in fact I couldn't find one with the French spelling. --Bermicourt (talk) 20:19, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

i don't see why english sources spelling the city name wrong should change how we spell it as an encyclopedia
moreover
salmon 1975 in discussing the siege spells it with the accent
carroll 2009 in discussing the siege spells it with the accent
sutherland 1963 in discussing the siege spells it with the accent
wood 2002 in discussing the siege spells it with the accent
holt 2005 in discussing the siege spells it with the accent
knecht 2010 in discussing the siege spells it with the accent
shimizu 1970 in discussing the siege spells it with the accent
baumgartner 1995 in discussing the siege spells it with the accent
roelker 1996 in discussing the siege by henri iv a few decades later spells it with the accent
in fact the only english text that discusses the siege that i own that does not use an accent is thompson 1909, so im not sure what sources you're looking at Sovietblobfish (talk) 11:59, 25 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
