Proposed changes - preventing conflict
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- Specific text to be added or removed: Add Organization and Governance section - summarized from constitution, add list of historical presidents
- Reason for the change: Gives insight into how the organization is governed, and lists presidents in order of term. These edits exist in the source code, and have been commented out, the source material for the constitution can be found in the listed URL, and the list of presidents is kept by SPS staff.

- I see that this information has been added into the article. I removed the Presidents section as it was uncited. It can be readded when a source is provided. I also added a primary sources banner at the top of Organisation and governance because no secondary sources are provided to support this information. If no sources are found, then the information is probably not notable and can probably be removed. Closing this edit request. Z1720 (talk) 01:18, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Request edit - History section
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- Specific text to be added or removed: Add history section, possibly with 3 subsections: The society has gone through 4 major changes, 1.) starting as a fraternity, then 2.) transitioning to an honor society in 1934, then 3.) joining the student sections in 1968 at AIP to create the Society of Physics students. The fourth major change has not been published, but a section on 1968 to the present may be warranted.
- Reason for the change: To add historical context to the society
