The pronunciation of this city is not what you'd expect. It's pronounced more like "She-heung". The "Si" in the name is deceptive... it's actually a "ʃ" sound, not a "s" sound. If anyone knows how to write in the phonetics, that'd be great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.36.81.85 (talk) 04:23, 17 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I tried to add the pronunciation. The sound you were talking about is a "ɕ" sound according to the IPA for Korean. I couldn't get the link to work to IPA for Korean though. Could someone figure this out? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BillSmithinKorea (talkcontribs) 15:34, 17 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I added administrative districts.

edit

Previous article was not include administrative districts of Siheung. And I suggest future improvement of this article. I think Siheung have many attractive places. For examples, Wolgot and Oido is very beautiful place, I think. Adding this part will enrich the contents.--Donghwan Seong (talk) 17:52, 13 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Expert needed on the "History" and "Education of Siheung" sections

edit

Hello, this is coming from someone who doesn't know a lot about the city to really add in the REAL nitty gritty, apart from what I search up on Google. I originally just came to this article to copyedit (I tried my best, this is for my first ever GOCE drive I partook in), but I would like for this article to be expanded a bit on the History section (you might see a template left there) with the Education of Siheung section being properly checked for citations. Thank you. —Beetricks 13:45, 18 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
