Location of grave

A number of local sources say Soule was buried in Denver's Riverside Cemetery (Denver, Colorado) [1][2]; however, he died 11 years before the cemetery was established. Was he first buried somewhere else and then reinterred? Or was he buried on land near the South Platte River that was later incorporated into the cemetery? wanted to be a martyr? wanted to start the civil war?

Assassinated?

The plaque text mentions that he was assassinated, but the account of his death seems different. I agree. The plaque refers to "assassins", as does the article in a the paragraph after the one describing him being shot, but the paragraph describing him being shot only says he went to investigate sounds of gunfire and came face-to-face with the man who killed him, but it also says Soule fired first. The way it is written does not sound like an "assassination", just a deadly encounter. Despite the article referring to "assassins" (plural), it does not state how many there were, or what evidence there was for more than one person involved in killing him. 136.53.76.167 (talk) 00:27, 26 July 2024 (UTC)

In the Sand Creek Massacre section it says, in paragraph 2: "...Soule went directly to Major Scott Anthony, Chivington's superior." The reverse is true- Chivington was Anthony's superior. Thanks! WLGSoule (talk) 01:19, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
