"Media at times of War" (Sociology In Perspective)

edit

"Periods of Warfare are generally considered as times when governments both censor the media and use it as a tool of propaganda..."national emergency." "Silent Runninng" made it's debut in 1985, three years after Britian's Falkland War in 1982. Britain retained the options of practicing censorship during national emergencies after "Silent Running" made it's debut in 1985. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.94.40.114 (talk) 20:42, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

According to page 164 of the source, it was banned because of the Gulf War of 1991, not the Falklands War (the former was the war that Wikipedia was already referring to in the first place?). Though that said, the originally cited page 173 doesn't appear to even mention the song so it's unclear why it was linked rather than page 164... Monster Iestyn (talk) 05:17, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Music video

Should mention the music video, where a boy whose father has gone finds a mysterious artefact in a room of his house... AnonMoos (talk) 07:01, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
