Nomination for Speedy Deletion

edit

Give a guy a chance here! This article has been up for 60 seconds and you mark it for speedy deletion. A TINY BIT of due diligence would note that I've been editing for more than 10 minutes and MIGHT know what I'm doing. Another 60 seconds search on Google would show the notability of this individual. What happened to assume good faith?

Simpson Edwin Stilwell (August 25, 1849—February 17, 1903) was a United States Army Scout in the American Old West. He served under Major George A. Forsyth company when it was besieged by Indian Chief Roman Nose and was instrumental in bringing relief to the unit.[1]: 266

Take a look here and here.

I do not appreciate the editor's over-zealous behavior in marking this so quickly for deletion. This kind of action is one reason new-comers and even experienced editors are staying away from WP. Please exercise a little bit more patience before you mark a new stub for speedy deletion. I'm trying to be polite here but this action really pisses me off. — btphelps (talk) (contribs) 04:02, 12 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
