A proposed addition at the end of the History section
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. A consensus could not be reached. |
Information to be added or removed: In January 2020, Pete Rivett-Carnac released his debut solo project, an EP titled Consume. Be Silent. Die. The EP was released under his artist name the real ok boomer.
Explanation of issue: As the band is no longer active, I'd like to mention my solo project here. The singer has done this; I'd just like to add my project under hers.

- Pinging @Nqr9: for their input on this request. Spintendo 01:03, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Spintendo: Sorry, I don't know enough about this band to be an authority on whether the proposed information is correct, or worth adding. I only know a few (1990s) singles of theirs, and added references for the chart peaks on this page, and possibly corrected some of the release dates/months.Nqr9 (talk) 03:21, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- No problem — but thank you anyways for the quick reply! To the COI editor, I understand that AllMusic is an appropriate source to use via the
{{AllMusic}}
template, so to save time, would you know if the item in question is also located there? Please advise. If not, I'll need to check with someone more knowledgeable in music matters than I am — the editor who immediately comes to mind in that regard would be @Ritchie333: — maybe if they're willing to, they could take a quick peek at this request and advise on any input they might have about it. My new project is not listed in AllMusic (as the AllMusic database is now a commercial product owned by Tivo). However, I can provide several sources to prove that "the real ok boomer" is indeed my project (and you can refer to the Wikipedia entry for Single Gun Theory to see that I am a founding member of that band). For example, here are some 2020 press articles that announce my new project and talk about my history in Single Gun Theory. Please let me know if there's any other information I can provide that will help this be approved. https://chaoscontrol.com/pete-rivett-carnac-real-ok-boomer/ (published March 3 2020) http://peepeesoakedheckhole.blogspot.com (please scroll down to Wednesday Feb 19 2020 for the article).
