Title of article

edit

Does anyone know why this article has such a long and pompous title? In other articles on which I have worked - one thinks of Sir Thomas Beecham, Bart, C.H. - the article's title is just the chap's first name and surname. Ought we to apply a similar simplification to this one? - Dame Nausea Bagwash, K.F.C. and bar, a.k.a. Tim riley (talk) 17:37, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

There are rules about how to name articles for your most noble ... er ... noblemen. These rules are far beyond my understanding, but they are located here: Wikipedia:Naming conventions (royalty and nobility). -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:40, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the steer. The rules are unequivocal: our man should be in an article entitled "George Power" with (maybe) his title mentioned in the first line of the text. The question is, how do I go about changing the title of the article, and do I then have to change internal WP blue links etc? -- [sgd], Sir Ruthven Murgatroyd, Bart, per pro - Tim riley (talk) 19:54, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
