Status of School
editThere is no such thing as a Grant Maintained school in the UK today - this category of school was abolished in 1998. Does anyone know the actual status of the school today? It would be good to get this corrected. Timothy Titus Talk To TT 04:32, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- A quick look at the link in the article give me "In 1999 the School assumed Foundation status" Pickle 16:34, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Notability
editThis is a major secondary school in Kent, and an ancient and very historic educational foundation. I am unsure why it has been tagged as possibly not notable? In any case, everyone else seems just to have ignored the tag since it was placed here several months ago. I propose that the notability tag be removed, but I'm inviting comments from others before I do so. [Incidentally, I am entirely independent of the subject - I have no connection with this school of any sort.] Timothy Titus Talk To TT 21:12, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Alumni
editI cleaned out the Alumni section which was overlong. It's a good rule of thumb that if someone isn't notable enough to have their own article on Wikipedia, then they're not notable enough for an alumni list. I also removed entries such as Jules Laurens, who obviously has many talents, having been listed twice by anon IPs, as an erotic novelist and as a trainer of showjumping rabbits. I move the following here, since it's plausible that they may get articles at some point in the future : 86.31.189.25 (talk) 10:58, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
List of Alumni
editRecent additions, Alumni
editThe recent additions are rife with notability issues, sourcing issues, and formatting issues. We are taking the time later to wrangle this list into a tighter factual bulleted list. Thanks for helping edit Wikipedia, Saintstephen000 (talk) 23:15, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
