This article was stub, until Amir88 copied [1] wholesale and pasted it onto the stub.

All that is going to have to rolled back. Zora 08:18, 26 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I reverted to the stub version. Since Elam wasn't deleted and the history still contains the copyvio text, this should be fine here as well, right? SouthernComfort 15:56, 26 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Zahedan and the Narouei tribe

edit

The second sentence of the lead reads: "It is in the southeast of the country, bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan and its capital is Zahedan the Narouei tribe ." Who are the Narouei tribe? I read the article on Zahedan, but it doesn't mention the Narouei. Should the end of that sentence read, "...and its capital is Zahedan, of the Narouei tribe."? --Smoggyrob | Talk 05:59, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I searched "Narouei" on Wikipedia. There's no article on it, but there are people carrying that surname, most of them Baloch from Zahedan, so it's probably a real tribe but it's not like they govern Zahedan or something, plus they can't be the only tribe there. It's best to just remove it and make it "…and its capital is Zahedan." ― Ö S M A N  (talk · contribs) 20:19, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Move?

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page not moved per lack of discussion below. It may be that the proposed title is a good one, but with so little discussion in 3 weeks, I'm closing this as "no move", and anyone wishing to answer those opposing the move may do so anytime, possibly leading to a page move. We'll stick with the status quo for now. - GTBacchus(talk) 09:12, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sistan and Baluchestan ProvinceSistan and Baluchestan — Unnecessary disambiguation. There are no other articles titled Sistan and Baluchestan. Per naming guidelines, we should only disambiguate where necessary. Skinsmoke (talk) 14:13, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Moved to "Contested requests". I don't think this is uncontroversial - every other province of Iran has XXX Province as its title and I think that's a matter of style rather than simply for disambiguation. It would be better to list it as a standard RM request if you feel strongly that it should be moved.  — Amakuru (talk) 22:14, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose, it's helpful to have consistent names for these provinces. Re Amakuru's statement — there's only one Iranian province that doesn't have "Province" at the end of its title, and that one ends with "province". Nyttend (talk) 00:38, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Baloch and Urdu script should be added

edit

Baloch and Urdu script should be added as the Balochistan region is also part of Pakistan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.226.242.202 (talk) 04:42, 9 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

But Urdu is not spoken in Iranian Baluchistan, yes they were Shalwar Qameez and eat biryani, but few know Urdu. Are you talking about the Nastaliq script? Muhafiz-e-Pakistan (talk) 13:41, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
This is the Iranian province, not the entire region. They don't speak Urdu. BTW, the Balochi name is already there (in a footnote). ― Ö S M A N  (talk · contribs) 18:33, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
