OK, I went through and cleaned up grammar and spelling. The original seems to have been written by someone weak at English, although most of the facts came through. (And their english is far better than my Macedonian.)
Some meanings were changed in subtle ways; I tried my best. For instance, at the bottom it said the 3rd century BCE thru the 5th century CE was 6 centuries; I count 8. Somebody who knows the facts should make a pass.
Also I'm not sure how referenced this should be. Seems believable to me, and I appreciate the input from whoever originally gave the info.
