Where are the stones now?

edit

Hello. I wrote the info on Skanderborg Castle and while writing this section, I happened to wonder what have become of the castle stones in the 1768 demolition? I mean, so many stones and building materials cannot vanish into oblivion. The wooden structures might have been burned, although I doubt it, but not the many stones. It was a common practise to reuse building materials in those days, which is exemplified by Skanderborg Castle itself, being expanded earlier by materials from Øm Abbey. So I wonder what happened to these building materials? Were they transported out of town, to be used in far away projects? Were they reused to erect specific buildings within Skanderborg perhaps? If anyone knows, please help.

My take at a translation: "I have always been told, that the stones was used in the nearby parts of town. Not long ago, somone found something from the castle (I cannot remember what) built into their house. They have handled it over to Skanderborg Museum."
Reply: Ah very exiting. It seems that there will be something to discover and good stories to tell in the future?
Tak for inputtet!)
