Directions for Page Improvements

This page on Ski Skins seems to have a lot of opportunity for expansion which interests me. Several suggestions include elaboration into different sections. One could provide a comprehensive history of the technology and its origins as a means of travel for various indigenous groups, and progress to its growing applicability for modern sports in Backcountry Skiing and Ski Mountaineering. Furthermore a section on materials used could allow much more insight into the nylon and mohair or other types of materials used. This could include or be separate from a section that describes the mechanisms that allow this technology to function, which could include a closer look into the interaction between the skin materials and the snow surface, with discussion of friction and more.
