Having the albums as pictures but the singles as tabels is stupid. I'd like the albums to be as an table to!
Split Bach?
I would suggest to drag the facts about Bach on his own wiki page.. He doesn't deserve 14 lines out of 30 in Skid Row's History...--Fireblues 19:37, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Anthrax and Megadeth, "similar" to Skid Row? Puh-lease. They may have been tamer thrash bands, but they weren't much like this band.
Lawsuit
I seem to recall that there was a lawsuit filed by Skid Row against Jon Bon Jovi because he was getting 90% of their royalties for "discovering" them. This might be worth mentioning, if a citation can be found. JediLofty 09:48, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Live in Moscow
Is Live in Moscow an official release? Anyone knows the tracklist from this gig? [1], [2] -- Janadore 10:21, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Inconsistency
In this article it says that the band purchased the name from the older Irish band also named Skid Row, but in the article about the original Skid Row it says that that band has always been angry for the US Skid Row stealing their name. Which is correct? --Bentonia School 04:34, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Lists
I think both "related artists" lists should just go. Influenced by? Says who? Similar artists? Sounds like a category to me. — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 01:20, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Decently or remotely successful?
I removed decently or remotely (I can't remember) from this page as this band was very successful at its peak. Sebastian Bach's home was featured on cribs, they've toured with Guns N' Roses (Which does not say decently successful) and they were a successful band. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dancingblackman (talk • contribs) 09:10, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Irony
Anyone else find it ironic that they were 'eclipsed' by grunge bands out of Seattle. Skid Row is a term that originated in Seattle. But Skid Row the band is from New Jersey. -- Suso 13:55, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah also Sebastian Bach has performed with grunge band Alice in Chains - http://youtube.com/watch?v=chRyxiMLBZw —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.223.71.163 (talk) 10:27, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Heavy metal or hard rock?
The first sentence seems to me to contradict itself : "an American '''heavy metal''' band which became the hard rock prototypes of the late 1980s metal scene"... So is Skid Row a hard rock band or a heavy metal band?? It can't be both! Besides, this sentence, even if it made sense doesn't really pass the test of NPOV... who says Skid Row is "the hard rock prototype of the late 1980s"? I certainly don't think so... It would be great if someone could modify that sentence. --IronChris 03:43, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
I wonder if anybody would have any objection to taking out the sentence about the band name being inspired by Gary Moore's band. --LanceManion1973 19 April 2006
hi, I took it. Actually, the band bought the rights of that name after knowing about gary Moore's Skid Row. (this story can be quoted from Sebastian Bach's site www.sebastianbach.com )--Kapaue 19:56, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Diffenitly Heavy Metal, in fact their early sound was Hair Metal and their later sound was basically Thrash & borderline Groove Metal, this should be written in.
They can be both Heavy Metal/ Hard Rock... Skid Row Genres: Heavy Metal Glam Metal Hard Rock --Alapachio (talk) 04:49, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

The American band Skid Row is a far more common search term than the Irish band Skid Row, so this should be the page that Skid Row (band) leads to.
Here's some Google results for the Irish Skid Row:
- Skid Row Irish - 231,000 results
- Skid Row blues-rock - 31,900 results
- Skid Row Ireland - 149,000 results
As for the American Skid Row...
- Skid Row band - 1,500,000 results (most results are the American band)
- Skid Row heavy metal - 484,000 results
Skid Row is the more common search term, so it doesn't need the "U.S." disambiguator. Xnux the Echidna 01:16, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- And exactly what percentage of "Skid Row band" is the American band? Did you count them all? Scolaire (talk) 10:46, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Um... I only get 269,000 results for "Skid Row Gary Moore".
- Very well, I guess we can disregard the "Skid Row American band" results. However, Skid Row Sebastian Bach gets 358,000 results, which is still more than Gary Moore's Skid Row. Xnux the Echidna 17:47, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well, that just shows the usefulness of a Google search! I didn't type that figure of 503,000; I copied and pasted it from the results page. But even if Gary Moore has 269 to Sebastian Bach's 358, that puts them in the same ballpark, so you can't conclude that the US band is "far more common" or "doesn't need the dab". Scolaire (talk) 06:51, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose. The Google tests above suggest that both bands are highly notable, but don't support the claim that the US band is the primary meaning of the term. It's more likely just caused by there being more Internet users and web page owners in the USA. Andrewa (talk) 11:53, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- I still think Skid Row is the more popular term, as Gary Moore's Skid Row was a short-lived band. (it even says on the article "the group had little success outside Ireland and the UK"). The band did influence the American Skid Row, but the American Skid Row became far better known. Xnux the Echidna 17:47, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Although it seems the American band is a bit more notable, does this really matter? I doubt many searching for either band will actually type "Skid Row (band)" in the search box. More likely, they would simply type "Skid Row" and still need to go through the main article no matter what the disambiguator. — AjaxSmack 02:15, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Glam? I Don't Think So.
I got rid of Skid Row being called "glam metal". They are not glam or hair metal - actually, they were one of the few metal bands in the 80's who were neither; they were hard rock/metal.
The new Skid Row isn't really Skid Row anymore. With Sebastian Bach gone, Affuso gone. Skid Row scored success with their first three albums and scored two major hits on the chart with 18 & Life and I Remember You.
Sebastian Bach's vocals are one-of-a-kind and Solinger will never ever have the same success as the old Skid Row.
My advice: Forget THE NEW SKID ROW.
- I agree with both of you guys-
-Hair metal were Poison & Firehouse etc. Glam Metal were Diamond Rexx & early Crue.
-Since Sebastian Bach leaving, Skid Row has become average. Just stay heavy metal, forget changing with the times.
All of you are dumbasses HAIR METAL IS GLAM METAL! THEY'RE JUST THE SAME THING ONLY HAIR METAL IS AN INSULT NAME TO GLAM!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.97.139.231 (talk) 21:49, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Completely correct. Skid Row is glam metal also... just grittier than most bands and don't use make up.
SKid row is an example of the first group of glam bands duch as motley crue etc... later band such as winger, warrant, white snake, white lion etc. are examples of later glam bands which according to dee snider (s founder of glam metal) killed the genre. skid row have a real heavy sound and gritty image not commonly associated with glam metal, but on the first album they were. the next they brought out speed metal/thrash metal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.163.8.44 (talk) 19:00, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Why is it, that if anything is posted on Wikipedia:
Why is it, that if anything is posted on Wikipedia: It always has to have some kind of information about if there was some sort of anti gay thing about someone. I do not even see why that needs to be stated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.100.217.47 (talk) 04:10, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
jim root?
wtf man! jim root was never in skid row —Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.207.106.112 (talk) 09:33, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
The usual idiocy
It is moronic that Johnny Solinger is mentioned in the intro and Sebastian Bach is not. The bizarre Wikipedia idea that whatever version of a band is currently touring the oldies circuits is more important than the line-up when the band was actually relevant strikes again. john k (talk) 21:55, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Protection request?
I've noticed over the course of the past few months random IP addresses have been reverting the genre to "Hard Rock" repeatedly when we have already discussed that the proper genre is heavy metal. This is blatant and intentional vandalism as they don't even attempt to discuss the genre on the talk page (the verdict was heavy metal in the original discussion yet they keep reverting it back without further discussion). So yep, that's why I'm requesting the page be protected. TJD2 (talk) 19:26, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

List of Skid Row band members
The List of Skid Row band members either needs to be merged back into Skid Row, or it needs a lot of new content added. If anyone is interested in doing the content, let us know. Otherwise, I'm gonna propose the merge. — DLManiac (talk) 02:06, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
Skid Row picture change
I got the permission from the author. Anyway, why shouldn't it be changed? Solinger Left 3 years ago, there were 2 singers after him, and nothing was done since. ZP Theart is an official member right now and he toured for more than 2 years now. TerminatorZXY (talk) 16:41, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

Band picture
The band picture at this point should just be changed to one with ZP and not with Johnny. ZP's been in the band for 2 years now. TerminatorZXY (talk) 12:15, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
