editI have cited this as being referenced from the Skim sourceforge project page. If I have not done properly, then any assistance is welcome in correcting it. thanks P.M. Dahl (talk) 00:04, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- The sourceforge page is what is called a primary source the same as IBM's website would be the primary source about IBM. What we need are secondary sources - in the case of IBM, an article in the Wall Street Journal would be considered an appropiate source. You need to find reliable secondary sources that show how this product is notable. Exxolon (talk) 00:26, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have denied the speedy deletion request. Issues of inadequate sources and notability are matters for articles for deletion discussions, and not valid speedy deletion reasons. - Sorry, go ahead and delete the article if you feel it is just spam. I have no affiliation with the project. I started an article. I misunderstood the GPL, and the offending content can easily be erased. I hope? I will work to remedy this so it is much more informative. Again, if you see fit to erase the article then do so. Just trying to help.P.M. Dahl (talk) 06:01, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- On the contrary, don't give up that easily. If you can locate independent sources which discuss and review this product, the article will probably be kept. Deletion is a last resort, and if the article can be made to meet Wikipedia guidelins such as verifiability and notability and Reliable sources there would be no reason to delete it. --Jayron32.talk.contribs 06:07, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
