This was originally at Slanguage; created May 18 2005. Slanguage was originally an article that was a dicdef, transwikied, Vfd and deleted. Moved info to this title, making "Slanguage" a redirect to slang, best solution I could come up with. No idea if this art collective is encyclopedic or not. Soundguy99 12:19, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
PROD and notability
editThis article has been tagged for deletion with the rationale "Does not meet notability guidelines/not demonstrated in 7+ years. References are commercial in nature. ". Since then I have added reference to one book where there is a page discussing the group's history. Several descriptions of their work can also be found in "Chicano and Chicana Art: A Critical Anthology" (e.g. [1]). Add to that the presentations of their works in art spaces such as Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit [2],Tate Modern, Serpentine Gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles [3], with coverage such as this and this and I think there is enough to regard deletion as potentially controversial.
