If they're confirmed they need to be sourced. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 14:39, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Actually...
editThe tracks also, neither the "confirmed" tracks nor the "confirmed" friends are sourced. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 19:31, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Slash & Friends label
editAccording to eil.com, Slash's single Sahara will be released through Universal Music. I guess it'll be the same label for the album. Source: http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=486870 Best regards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.33.93.192 (talk) 18:40, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Meat Loaf
editHas he been confirmed ?83.49.97.94 (talk) 18:31, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- I think so, I can't remember where I saw it but yes I think so. If I can find a source over the next few days I'll be sure to cite it. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 22:38, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Meat Loaf is rumored, but not confirmed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.127.1.46 (talk) 18:26, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Future Move
editSlash & Friends Will apparently not be called Slash & Friends according to this interview[1]. No point in moving until we have a confirmed album title however. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 15:03, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
I read in an article that it is just going to be called SLASH, http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/upcoming_releases/slash_new_album_out_april_6.html
TwistedGuitars (talk) 23:36, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- I've now moved the page as the album name has been confirmed by multiple sources including Slash himself. See here, here and here. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 14:04, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
History & Recording
editShould or shouldn't we include the historical timeline for the recording of this album? It's pretty much all unsourced trivia which an Admin previously removed but has since been readded. I'm hoping to establish at least some consensus here. Keep or Delete? Jeffrey Mall (talk • be merry) - 01:59, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- I believe we should leave the information. It's actually very neat and well organized with the timeline but like Jeffrey Mall told me before, if its not meeting the rules of Wikipedia to keep such a timeline in the article, so it could be removed but at the information should be incorporated into the article without a timeline. I re-added the timeline updates because the article was edited and only a little bit info was availalbe. 90% is actually sourced and are updates directly from Slash's Myspace blog or Twitter, and include important info for the article, and not just trivia info, for example: the release of the first Japanese single, the announcement about the single being re-recorded in English, info about the new label signing with Roadrunner Records, the first single to feature Ozzy Osbourne, etc. All those for example were absent from the edited article, with only info about tentative release date, some info about the single and thats pretty much it. All this info was well collected and is very well organized here, I think it should stay. JackShestak (talk) 14:37, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
IMO, if there is no source for it, it should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.166.162.94 (talk) 08:59, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
It's just a bunch of fancruft. Remove it. Superior1 (talk) 08:17, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- I agree; it's way too detailed. We should summarize it all with prose. Is it really necessary to say: "He confirmed this and that each day"? Andrewlp1991 (talk) 00:33, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Think of it this way. When the album comes out, will we still need this huge section about the day by day proceedings of Slash? No. So why do we need it now? I'm just going to be bold and remove it all. Superior1 (talk) 04:16, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Looks much better. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 17:27, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Wrong album name
editThe album, as clearly indicated by it's cover, is Titled Slash: R & F'n R—Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.101.18.173 (talk • contribs)
- I don't think the "R & F'n R" is actually part of the album title and I haven't seen (or heard for that matter) anyone refer to this album as "Slash: R & F'n R" though apparently some people are still calling it "Slash & Friends". Appreciate input from anyone who's seen this title published elsewhere online. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 03:11, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- Pretty sure its just something Slash uses in general, Ive seen "R & F'n R" on Velvet Revolver t shirts and some other merch. Plus on Slash's site, the album itself is referred to as just "Slash" HrZ (talk) 12:09, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
It would be great having a section detailing which musicians play in each song
editThe instrumental part —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.5.144.81 (talk) 01:50, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
- Another section probably isn't necessary as the "Track listing" section already displays what songs the musicians featured contributed to. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 02:12, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
That list tells only the vocal aspect. It would be really great to know for example in which songs did Taylor Hawkins, Flea or Travis Barkley played. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.5.144.81 (talk) 02:14, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
- Taylor Hawkins (as far as I'm aware of) only provided vocals, and is listed on the "Crucify the Dead" with Ozzy. Flea performed on the bonus track "Baby Can't Drive" with Alice Cooper, Nicole Scherzinger and Steven Adler, again thats there. For the others, the track they performed on can be added beside their names on the "Featured Musicians" list IMO. HrZ (talk) 12:09, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Featured Musicians
editThis is about the recent update to the featured musicians list. Based (only) on the credits on my copy of the album (the Classic Rock pack), Steve Ferrone drummed on the track "Starlight" not Travis Barker while Teddy Andreadis and Judgement Day arent credited at all. Im not saying this is wrong but can anyone else back up that they are on it? HrZ (talk) 22:29, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Watch This Dave?
editThis is my first time at doing anything more than looking here on Wikipedia so go easy...
I'm in the process of trying to confirm that the "Watch This Dave" track name is a typo, but not sure what's needed. Here in Australia the track listing on the back of the physical CD case states "Watch This Dave (Dave Grohl/Duff McKagan)" , however the listing inside the booklet has the title "Watch This". Looks to me like the printers of the CD case have accidentally duplicated the word "Dave" twice on the back cover. I called Sony Australia today and the girl I spoke to agreed that it is most likely a typo but the person who would know wasn't around to confirm this. I also pointed out that Sony Australia's website (www.bandit.fm) has it listed as "Watch This Dave", and she said that whatever track name is on the CD cover would have been transferred automatically to the website.
I'm guessing that even that even if I were to ring them another time and get confirmation, some guy (me) talking to some guy at Sony is not quite strong enough of a citation to correct the article, so what is the best approach here?

Welcome! I'm not sure what to suggest - you could try writing to them, asking them to make a statement to clarify this, and if it turns out you are correct then such a press release would most likely be picked up by a reliable secondary source, and could be cited here. Unfortunately I suspect that even if there is an error on the CD, it may well be that they have since decided to pretend it was meant to be that way all along, and will not confirm it publicly. Or, it could be the song title is deliberately titled so as a jibe at Dave Grohl; This is entirely my opinion but I think both Slash and Dave are laid back types who enjoy larking around and playing pranks..Bertcocaine (talk) 00:27, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
World tour
editShould all that detail about the world tour be included here ? -- Beardo (talk) 16:59, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- A quick review of some other album articles and the WikiProject Albums guidelines suggests not. Bertcocaine (talk) 23:28, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Photo
editHello people, there is an edit war between this 2 pictures
and wanted to know what you think because we are a community.Besides, it was made during the tour of this album.
I say my, the second photo is of good quality but the expression second me isn't very beautiful and still is in 2009 is therefore the oldest. I leave you the response.--85.237.212.171 (talk) 11:20, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
editCyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
