"'Middle Mass' was in part a play on George Eliot's 1871 novel Middlemarch."
Nonsense! It simply means "the mass of middle-of-the-road/middle class" people. Mark.E.Smith has actually said that it was intended as a dig against former Fall guitarist Marc Riley. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.225.149.5 (talk) 12:12, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Source? --Dannyno (talk) 07:25, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
How come that needs a source, but the original pile of crap about Middlemass being a play on George Eliot doesn't need any source at all? You will not find ANYTHING written ANYWHERE where MES makes any comment about George Eliot, or Middlemarch. Just because it has the word "Middle" at the start of the word, what the hell does that have to do with anything? Twats. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.6.157.62 (talk) 16:44, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
Title of record
editSurely "Slates, Slags, Etc" refers to the song, not the album title?88.23.98.107 (talk) 07:44, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- I've moved it back and undone the incorrect changes to the article. The title is indeed "Slates". If the editor who made the move wishes to discuss, by all means do so here. --Dannyno (talk) 07:16, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
UK Independent Album Chart
edit"However, it was included in the UK Independent Album chart, where it reached No. 3."
No it wasn't. It was included in the UK Independent Singles chart, where it reached no. 3. I've corrected the article and sourced the information. --Dannyno (talk) 07:29, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
