Pronunciation please
editCould someone please record the pronunciation of this word as an .ogg file and include it in the article? Also, the IPA version would be handy. Most of we poor British-English speakers have no idea! 86.146.232.175 12:16, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think if you omit the O you have a fairly accurate pronunciation. Sliotar > slitar. --candle•wicke 13:43, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- Here is a pronunciation in 3 different Irish dialects:

Horse hair?
editI heard that sliotar's had horse hair in them. I don't know when that practice of making them stopped? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.157.170.98 (talk) 00:12, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Johnny McAuliffe
editIs his mini-biography really worth including? He isn't notable enough for his own article, and I realize he invented this ball so he gets his mention but I don't see the point of saying where he was born, where he died, and what age he was... that has nothing to do with the Sliotar — Preceding unsigned comment added by Teamcoltra (talk • contribs) 07:35, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
