chuck and the fucks

I'm wondering if the anecdote about Chuck and the Fucks playing at Queen Mary elementary school is accurate or an amalgamation of several events, because I was in 5th grade when Chuck and the Fucks played Kerrisdale elementary which I attended and story of that was exactly the opposite of what supposedly happened at Queen Mary. At Kerrisdale, Chuck and the Fucks played a lunchtime show in the gym, and teachers were apparently under the impression that if they let kids come and go during the performance, they might bring in booze or drugs (totally unfounded fears since we were little kids on the west-side of vancouver!) Anyway what happened is that teachers stationed themselves at each door of the gym, and barred anyone from LEAVING the show, so if you went in you weren't allowed out until the performance was over. Well most of these kids had never been subjected to such a high volume of distorted guitars, so there were kids with their hands over their ears and tears streaming down their faces pleading to be let out but the teachers wouldn't let them out. So the Chuck and the Fucks show turned out to be sonic torture inflicted on a bunch of poor unsuspecting kids. Similar to the Queen Mary story, but better.

What about Stephen Hamm's band ( also Robert Dayton ) Canned Hamm? They deserve a mention and a page
