Small Talk (Katy Perry song) → Small Talk (song) – Only song of this name with an article Ss112 23:31, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:04, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Ss112: But Small talk (disambiguation) lists 6 songs named 'Small Talk'. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:05, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: I know. But per WP:NCMDAB, the only song with an article can be located at "(song)" per previous consensus. Anthony, you have performed this type of move countless times, I don't know why now is any different. I said in my request that this is "the only song of this name with an article"—and that's true. @Ad Orientem: Can you please perform this move? I don't know if Anthony has gone offline. Per NCMDAB, "An RFC closed in June 2016 has established consensus that further disambiguation is only required when multiple songs or albums of the same name have articles." No other song called "Small Talk" has an article. Ss112 05:29, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
- Support. @Ss112 and Anthony Appleyard: Per WP:SONGDAB and the RfC cited, there is already concensus for these sorts of page move. PC78 (talk) 07:38, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

Hatnote
edit@SNUGGUMS: @DontMindMeMkay: Why the removal of the hatnote? It is useful to readers who may have been looking for another song titled "Small Talk" and were lead here instead. It doesn't matter if the other songs have articles or not, this is commonly used at the top of articles for songs that share a name. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 21:12, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- If something doesn't have or warrant its own page, then such an inclusion is basically pointless when people aren't likely to look for that over a subject that actually does. It's also not like this has a very ambiguous title given the "song" parenthetical when no other article named "Small Talk" is a song page or is titled as such. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:32, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- How do you expect readers to know which songs have articles and which songs don't? That makes no sense. It's definitely not pointless, and it's not like it takes up a lot of space. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 21:35, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- They might not always know what does or doesn't have pages, but my point was that using "song" is sufficient disambiguation per WP:NAMB (unless this was the primary topic in which case it wouldn't have that parenthetical but this isn't one) to not need referral notes when that helps it stand out from other articles named "Small Talk".
