Correct title
editShouldn't be the title Smoke and Mirrors (Imagine Dragons album), like Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams and others? --Tartufo (msg) 18:37, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
- Someone move the page to the correct title, for God sake --Tartufo (msg) 12:18, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Smoke + Mirrors (Imagine Dragons album) → Smoke + Mirrors – The new title already redirects here. This article is the only topic with the name "Smoke + Mirrors" (with a plus sign, instead of the word "and" or an ampersand). A person typing "Smoke + Mirrors" would be looking for this album instead of the metaphor or other topics on the disambiguation page. There is no need for unnecessary disambiguation if all it does is making the article title unnecessarily long. sovereign°sentinel 16:29, 23 July 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. - Oppose per WP:SMALLDETAILS. If anything, Smoke + Mirrors should redirect to Smoke and mirrors (disambiguation). Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:47, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
- WP:SMALLDETAILS actually supports using small details for disambiguation. A hatnote would be more than sufficient to direct any readers to the disambiguation page if required. sovereign°sentinel 18:01, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
- No it doesn't, it supports the opposite. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:25, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
- Do you honestly think that someone typing in "Smoke + Mirrors" with an addition sign is searching for the metaphor or other topics named "Smoke and Mirrors"? sovereign°sentinel 02:08, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

- Strong oppose "+" is frequently and commonly used in place of "and", so we should redirect to smoke and mirrors (disambiguation) -- 67.70.32.190 (talk) 04:01, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
- Support. Romeo + Juliet and Black + White don't redirect to the articles with "and" in the titles, or to the disambiguation pages, and in a period when command and control had over 100,000 page views there were no page views recorded for the "+" equivalent (similarly for "rhythm and blues", over 80,000 compared with zero) - this indicates that people only search for "+" version rather than "and" versions if the symbol is in the title. Unless "smoke and mirrors" is an exception, or there's another use with "+", this album is the primary topic. Peter James (talk) 09:48, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
- I added a hatnote to the page to count the number of users typing in Smoke + Mirrors who are looking for Smoke and mirrors. sovereign°sentinel 02:45, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
- Strong support per WP:SMALLDETAILS. I don't believe someone using the plus sign instead of "and" would be looking for anything else but the album. Calidum T|C 11:51, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
- Strong support - I'm the one who changed the title and redirected "Smoke + Mirrors" here. Anyone who types in "Smoke + Mirrors" with capital letters and a plus sign is obviously doing it for a reason, and that reason isn't to get to the disambiguation page - it's to get here. Unreal7 (talk) 07:44, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:SMALLDETAILS. Romeo + Juliet is an exceptional case. "+" and "&" are common replacements for "and". Chase (talk | contributions) 22:11, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
- Support. - WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, WP:CONCISE, WP:COMMONNAME. Shhhhwwww!! (talk) 05:56, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
- Support. SMALLDETAILS is a bit of a mess at the moment because it seems anyone can interpret it however they like. Anywho, I believe that anyone who goes to the effort to specifically type in "Smoke + Mirrors" is almost certainly looking for the album. Jenks24 (talk) 11:56, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
