Rewrite, Jan 2012

I have rewritten the article so that the language is less a copy-and-paste of a manifesto and more neutral (it didn't need all those subheadings, either).

I have tentatively removed the "NPOV|date=June 2010" template with the assumption that this is why the tag was added.

If this was intended to refer to the history section instead (which I have left largely untouched), or you feel my rewrite is not sufficiently NPOV, then I won't complain if you add the NPOV template back.
