I've been looking at some of the efforts of the SEJ and have noted that it tends to side with popular, but not necessarily scientifically accepted information. It recently gave an award to Carey Gillam (formerly of Reuters) for her book "Whitewash" (ISBN-13: 978-1610918329) which is part of the attempt by "green" groups to have the popular herbicide, glyphosate banned by connecting it with multiple cancers. I note that they similarly awarded Sharon Lerner for this article https://theintercept.com/2016/11/25/did-the-epa-prosecute-and-jail-a-mississippi-lab-owner-because-of-her-activism/ although reading the court documents that I have been able to find and Ms. White's failed appeal (Case: 13-60649, Document: 00512914081 Mississippi fifth circuit). It's clear that the entire piece is seriously biased. Clearly this is just my opinion but I'm left-leaning and the usual conservative critic. I think it behoves others to look into this and add this to the section on criticism. 81.97.100.208 (talk) 10:29, 20 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
