expansion
editI listed this article for expansion because it is important in terms of Portuguese, Mozambican and generally world history and there is significant information on it in the 1911 Encyclopedia, of which I added a link. I would add to the article, but I am short for time now.--Thomas.macmillan 01:16, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
This page has been edited and included inaccurate statements such as Somali merchants being founders of Sofala when it was clearly a hub for Swahili merchants. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Talibaltarikh (talk • contribs) 17:35, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
- It's not inaccurate. The first people to access Sofala and make it a hub were traders from Mogadishu in the early 10th C. The Swahili of Kilwa wrested control of Sofala from Mogadishu quite a bit later c. 1180s. Walrasiad (talk) 14:52, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
