Solak → Solak (disambiguation) – "Solak" should be made an R from surname to Nick Solak, who could be construed as the Solak for whom Wikipedia readers could be searching, as supported by a Google search (Nick and an arguably less-notable Runescape character dominate Solak) and pageview search. - Oppose no WP:PRIMARY for that last name.--Ortizesp (talk) 18:09, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Ortizesp: Visits to the Nick page is around 3/4 of the combined page views to the other pages listed at the dab page. If you remove the two Šolaks, Nick's share rises to around 90 per cent. It is also worthy of note that in Nataša's case, "Šolak" is a redirect from her maiden name to the article under her married name. --NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 19:54, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose Not really seeing a need for this. This surname page isn't highly-viewed (2 hits a day on average), which isn't enough for me to think there are people typing this wanting Nick Solak. The runescape character and a guy named Ben Solak pop up for me on Google before the baseball player. Nohomersryan (talk) 20:01, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. Why Nick Solak? Why not any of the other Solaks? JIP | Talk 20:20, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose. This player is not notable enough for a primary redirect. 162 etc. (talk) 20:30, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- I respectfully disagree with this point of yours, as I believe that the fame of the subject alone should not stop a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT from occurring (cf. the Klobosits redirect that I sent to WP:AFC/R).
- Certainly no disrespect intended, but much like your failed Soroka → Mike Soroka suggestion, the community seems to agree that the bar for a primary redirect is set higher than this. 162 etc. (talk) 21:17, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- oppose not big enough a difference in page views to justify WP:PT, Dragan Šolak regularly goes above Nick. Moreover, their aren't enough page views to justify a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT—blindlynx 20:52, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reply. For me, it is the reverse; a 3:1 ratio between the page views for Nick and Dragan. Moreover, we can still have the Šolaks (with an accent) in a dab page while having a PTR to Nick at the unaccented Solak. The lack of page views should not be a problem, since there are more obscure baseball players with an R from surname. --NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 21:31, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- You really don't need to reiterate your point to every oppose. I'm not sure where you are getting that ratio, while Nick does see an spikes in readership the base level appears to be roughly the same as Dragan which is admittedly pretty low. This means that the article does not meet the thresh-hold set by WP:PRIMARYTOPIC namely it is not highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term because with the exception of those spikes readers seem to be evenly split on which of the two they are looking for for most of the year. This doesn't even take into account other articles on the dab page btw—blindlynx 23:11, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
