I'm starting this article!!
Lead section
editI don't think it's necessary to introduce the Montalto di castro PV station in the lead of this article. There are many other PV stations in Italy of comparable size and anyway the article is about solar power in general, which includes also concentrated solar power. I think it would be better to expand the article with a section on this type of solar power, instead of copying some texts from the article about Montalto di Castro station. --Ita140188 (talk) 08:49, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
- Add a section on CSP if it is relevant, but I am not aware of any large CSP power stations in Italy. In terms of PV, the Montalto di castro PV station appears to be the largest installation, and so deserves special mention in the lead. Johnfos (talk) 09:16, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
Capacity factor
edit5.4% is too low for a photovoltaic capacity factor in Italy. Either the output is wrong or the size is wrong. Apteva (talk) 20:59, 28 November 2012 (UTC) Corrected. The 40 GWh/year figure was for when it was 24 MW - 19% capacity factor. Apteva (talk) 21:05, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Generation table
editI modified the generation data table so that it now lists % of generation and % of consumption. A lot of news articles and journalists get confused with these two different figures. Also the generation data for 2010-2013 has been slightly adjusted at the original source tirna.it that other articles reference either directly or indirectly.
