editThe 'Criticism' section of this article is based on personal opinion and reflects individuals beliefs after Solent TV had shutdown. As Solent TV and its parent company Island Volunteers have ceased trading it can be considered cowardly to dress many of the subjective comments in this section as fact.
I think this is unfair- I want to know why Solent TV went down and this addresses some of the reasons which would otherwise leave the article with an air of mystery. I felt that the over reliance on radio shows filmed "behind the mike" added little to simply listening to the radio and the black & white films were possibly aimed at an ageing, if not senescent population. I know it is cheap to buy in old programmes, but there must be back numbers of Quincy or something- or even Hancock, which would have been more attractive.
